I have just found out that Xbox360 comes out on the November 28, 2005. Anyone thinking of getting it, I will most likely get it after Xmas when I have some money.

And it has a detachable hard drive. And the best bit (Well I think) is that it is only £280

And for that you get all the above

There will be two versions of the Xbox 360. $399 USD for the complete package, that includes wireless controllers, hard drive, etc. $299 USD for the core system (accessories can be purchases separately). If you look at that, the core system by itself seems like a rip-off.

It has also been confirmed that all first-party Microsoft Xbox 360 games should retail for $49.99 USD. This doesn't include third-party titles.

Are you sure that does seem very cheap, when the xbox games at the moment are £30-£40 each

I am thinking about getting a PS3, it sounds better than the Xbox 360, plus I already have a PS2.

What seems cheap? The two versions of the Xbox 360 or the first-party game titles? I mean, the premium version is already $399 USD... and say you buy two games while you're at it, that's already $500.

The first-party game titles seem cheap. And I will get the Xbox360 as I have already got an xbox (And I dont like PS2's)

Don't you get a discount for the X-Box 360 if you turn in your old X-Box? Basically, 360 lets you play old games, and no new ones will come out for the old X-Box once 360 is released anyway.

Same here. I would still have my orginial PS if my mom didn't make me give it to my brothers once I got a PS2 (they had already went through two or three PSs before I had to hand over mine! And they messed mine up, too  )... I tend to like the games that come out for Playstation more than Xbox, so I'm waiting for the PS3.

i will personally go for a playstation 3. There is a new type of dvd player that is soon to be released (which retails at around $500 USD for the lowest price one) which will be included in the playstation 3. On top of (hopefully) backward compatability, and everything else, the PS3 seems like the system of choice for me.

Nintendo revolution you say? I find that nintendo games are much too easy and childish.

I actually dislike consoles, but I agree with you on this point. I find that titles which come out for PS are more appealing than Xbox/Nintendo titles.

I like some of the games on PS2's like GTA but thats it.

Basically, 360 lets you play old games, and no new ones will come out for the old X-Box once 360 is released anyway.

You also need to have the hard drive to play Xbox games on the 360, which means if you get the £209 one you wont be able to play the Xbox ones unless you buy the hard drive.

I was just looking at Call Of Duty 2 and I saw that it was £49.99 for it.

I could've sworn I read somewhere that some games won't require the hard drive.

I read somewhere that you need a hard drive to play Xbox games on the 360, I'll try to find the link

Edit - Found it http://forum.gamestm.co.uk/shwmessage.aspx?forumid=7&messageid=56117#bm56121

You'll want the Hard Drive if you have Xbox games, because they'll only play on the 360 with a hard drive.

Xbox 360: Lots And Lots Of Questions Answered (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=60737)

- The console can be switched on and off wirelessly using the Media Remote control or the wireless game controller.

- You will definitely need a hard disk to play Xbox 1 games.

- DVDs can be played even if you don't have the remote control, unlike Xbox 1.

- You can also plug in a laptop or PC (or not plug it in - if you're using wireless networking) and play content direct from that.

Read more there.

I dont know how much it is in $, but in £ for the Core it is £209.99 and for the better one it is £279.99

209.99 GBP = 386.779 USD - (Core)

279.99 GBP = 515.711 USD - (Premium)
