*Whew* I've finally made it through HTML, PHP, and graphic programs like Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop. Now, it's flash. I received Macromedia Flash MX from a friend. I have NO CLUE where to start. I was aiming for something like this (http://fakin-it.com/lines.shtml) but ofcourse, that tutorial is for a different version of flash. I was also geared toward making introductions such as the one shown here (http://www.monica-online.net/).
I've browsed most of the Flash forum here, and I've got somewhat of an idea of its capabilities and other features. Now what?!

you can use that tutorial, it will work in MX.
For the basics: under "help" you'll find a tutoral, it's a very good place to start.
Some other tutorials were mentioned here on the forum, you'll have to browse the older threads for that. Plenty of places to start from ;)

If you haven't already thought of it; you can always ask your friend for any help you may need. Presuming they know flash that is. lol :)

LOL Well, actually, he purchased it from ebay. I've already asked him for a few "pointers"...but he barely knows much about it himself.

i suggest buying a flash manual. i have one and it is really helpful for me. just start at the beginning and don't rush. flash is one thing that takes a lot of time to get used to.
