I'm using Animation Shop 3 and when I make an animation it doesn't look fine... I can show you one frame (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y25/Evenstar00/frame1.gif). Look at their faces and hair! nothing much to do about it
.gif's only go upto 265 colors , and those are real photo's that use more colors then a gif allows. That's why they always use JPG for photo's, but for an animation it's no other choice then gif

try reducing the colors to 256, then use the tools to fix it up to look as good as you can get it, unsharp, smooth edges, smooth textures, etc. look under Adjust for these tools.
