Hi! I'm wondering if someone might help me with Jasc Animation Shop 3. Lately when I create .gif files, they turn out blurry and there's added pixels of color making it look distorted. Is there a way to save a .gif file in Animation Shop without having it go through the optimization process? That's what's messes it up! I want it to save just as the graphic/animation looks when I'm putting it together! :) Thanks in advance!

are you saving it as the best quality?

Yes, I'm saving it as the best quality. Am I supposed to be doing something different?

gif's are a little tricky when it comes to color. think 256...lol
what dpi are you using to create the original images. (new image=72dpi)
can you post the settings you are using.

Each image frame is 72 pixels per inch. The settings when I go to save a gif are as follows:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v155/JuniperLily/screenshot2.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v155/JuniperLily/screenshot3.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v155/JuniperLily/screenshot4.jpg

So for instance I took a glitterfill from http://www.lalaalyssa.com/aly/glitterfills.html, saved it to my computer and ran it through Animation shop as usual...

Here's the original: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v155/JuniperLily/pinkbubbles.gif

Here's the 'optimized one, which is all distorted...

I want it to look exactly as it should, no pixelation! :)

don't customise, have you tried just saving it and hitting next on the 1st screenshot?

I don't mess with anything in the custom. I took the screenshots so you could see what it's set at. :) This is what happens when I do just hit 'next' and let it do it's thing.
