The inner bevel effect is useful in terms of allowing your text selections/images to come off 3D-ish.


Create a new image or you may do this straight on a specific image.
Select the text tool. The Text Entry box should pop-up.
Choose your stroke and fill colours (Styles section). Make sure the floating option is checked in the Create as section before clicking OK.
Do not deselect the text. Now go to Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel. The Inner Bevel box should pop-up.
Choose whatever bevel style you'd like. Adjust the depth to your own fitting, but I would recommend 15 - 25. You can also adjust the width, but I recommend 7 and above.
You may deselect your text now.
