Everytime I try to upload a pic for my profile, it's too big.. .is there a way for me to upload any size picture I want?

If that script no longer functions, there's no other way to do, but to follow Xanga's guidelines:
For profile pictures, you can upload jpg files up to 1 mb and other image files up to 50 kb. For best results, please use a picture that is 160 x 160 pixels or smaller.

Resize/compress it.
