Hello I have a question:

When I add text to anything in Gimp 2.2 can I add an outline to the text?? please help!!

The way I can think of:
1. Create your text on separate layer.
2. Pick one of the selection tools and select your text.
3. Choose select>Grow> and then define the number of pixels you want your outline.
4. Create new layer and fill your selection with color of your choice.
5. Move the layer with outline to bottom of your text layer and merge two layers if you like.
6. Now you should have text with outline.
