okay. this is what i have, but im having difficulties. the links wont appear within the other ["up"] frame. what did i do wrong?

put the name of the page you want it to target to instead of just 'up'

it looks like you are using a scrolling layer instead of iframes. these are two different effects. you will have to use iframes to make new material appear in the area.
