View Full Version : Embarising Parents
Gryffendorbabe1 07-21-2005, 01:29 AM I know I am not the only one with embarising parents....What have they done to you?I know my cousins dad said out loud in public"You have a huge smuge on your face...Here, let me get it..." And he licked his finger, and tried to get whatever it was off her face for 25-30 minutes, in front of town square on"Daddy and Gal" day,and then said "Oh...and when we get home,we will need to talk about your boyfriend...When I found you kissing"......Everyone was laughing....It was in the town paper....."Neat freak Dad".......our friends and teachers got a hold of it.....the princable put it on the bulliton boared......High-lighted her name.......and got the awared for the most embarising dad in the world pinned up on her locker.....(probobly by the School prep....)I was there.I whitnessed it all....And were do I start on MY parents...My mom, My step-dad, My dad, My step mom........
You will get humiliaited....and they will laugh...
Lissa 07-27-2005, 05:43 PM I know, this is an old thread, but I thought it was interesting
That story is hilarious, that reminds me of something my dad would do.. but I'm never embarassed by him, he's so cool and funny :D My mom and sister get embarassed by him all the time, and I always feel bad for him because he means well, so I just laugh at his jokes because they're so dumb they're funny! My sister probably embarasses me the most, just because she's a drama queen, and I can't believe I'm related to her
cowabunga44 07-29-2005, 02:13 AM My mom is the absolute worst with embarring moments.
It's funny, my dad is never embarassing, I think he is smart enough to realize how what not to say in front of others. Not saying my mom is stupid, but some of the things she says in public it's just like, "how can you think that was ever a good idea to say that?" Jeez! Love them though!
Karen_ 07-29-2005, 02:46 AM I hate shopping, but with my mother is the worst. I'll be on the other side of a store or something and all I hear is "KAAAREEEN, KAREN, WHERE ARE YOU? I FOUND A BRA IN YOUR SIZE.... IT'S HALF OFF! IT DOESNT HAVE AN UNDERWIRE EITHER, SO IT WON'T POKE YOU! WHAT WAS YOUR CUP SIZE AGAIN? TRY IT ON! I'LL GET THE LADY TO MEASURE YOU IF IT DOESN'T FIT! KAREN! WHY ARE YOU WALKING AWAY! OVER HERE! IT'S YOUR MOTHER, I FOUND A BRAAAAAA! IT FEELS LIKE AN ITCHY MATERIAL THOUGH, TRY IT ON AND SEE IF IT'S ITCHY! BRAAAAAAAAA!!"
I may be exaggerating a bit. I don't really get embarassed easily, but I just really hate clothes shopping.
tokyo bleu 07-29-2005, 03:15 AM ^ I can definitely relate... shopping with my mom is something I try to avoid. =P
onigiri 07-29-2005, 03:28 AM I'll be on the other side of a store or something and all I hear is "KAAAREEEN, KAREN, WHERE ARE YOU? I FOUND A BRA IN YOUR SIZE.... IT'S HALF OFF! Thank God I'm not a girl, so my mother would never say that to me!
cookiemonster 07-29-2005, 04:34 PM Mom, I have no idea why :p
cowabunga44 07-29-2005, 06:28 PM Wolf pup, I know. The things she says are just..wow! I think it is pretty much part of being a daughter and you have a mom. If someone can prove me wrong then good for them! :P
lefty 07-29-2005, 06:33 PM I think I'm over that embarassing parents thing... but my dad used to be the worst. Then I concluded I was turning into him :P
Angelica 07-29-2005, 06:47 PM My parents aren't really the problem. It's my two younger brothers. Anytime we go somewhere as a family (and I always HAVE to go. I mean, Jeez I'm 17, can't I just stay home alone for once), my brothers start stuff like pushing people around and saying really embarrasing stuff loudly. Then my dad gets ^^^^ed off and starts yelling, and it's just so embarrasing! So, i guess it's a combination of my brothers and my dad. oh boy, I can't wait til I move out.
Well, there was that one time my dad took the employee ladder at walmart and climbed up to get something on his own and the store people had to call him down because he was on it. I was conveniently on another aisle. ;)
bejayel 07-29-2005, 07:58 PM step mom, cause 90% of the time she is a rotton old .......
unbeknownst 07-29-2005, 11:04 PM Both of my parents are menacing...well...annoying. I don't have step-parents or siblings...
adrielle 07-30-2005, 02:25 AM My parents aren't that embarassing, my mom can be and is sometimes..but my dad isn't :)

one little thing about my mum i dont get embaressed by is funnily enough her tattoo and nose piercing. my friend once was telling her mum that she was embarressed abou her mum having tattoos, and her mum asked me if i was the same with ym mum and i just said "uh no, its her body she can do what she wants within reason, its just a tattoo sheesh, no big deal" lol needless to say my friend wasnt very happy with my lack of support for her.

Oh my god! That must be mortifying!! I think I would run away into the changing room and not come out for like 10 minutes untill the people who heard her had cleared away. Lucky you had your sisters for some moral support!!
I don't really have any embarassing nicknames from my parents. Thank god, I guess that it one thing they have succeded in being non embarassing.
short_gurli 08-10-2005, 02:05 AM MMMOOOOOOMMMMMM all the way!
ZacEv 08-10-2005, 09:22 AM Lol "cough" Anyone mentioned embarrasing grandparents? "cough"
Owlie42 08-11-2005, 05:17 AM My parents aren't too bad. My dad is on occasion, because he'll loose his temper and start ranting and raving about something. I walk as far away as I can and pretend I'm not related to him. My only other problem with my dad is that he's some kind of walking encyclopedia when it comes to things relating to history or science, and if we're dropping one of my friends off or picking them up or whatever, he'll somehow managed to insert that into the conversation. Of course, I think I'm heading the same way...
spooked_001 08-12-2005, 04:54 AM my mum and dad dont embarrass me so much as irritate me. My mums got this thing where she tries to be a stereotypical mum. Im not sure why. Like she acts weird around my friends trying to be "the cool mum" which is REALLY annoying. She has to know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING and cant admit to being wrong. She calls my teachers liars in their own subjects. she does things that may be vaguely embarrassing when you're like 10, just to get a rise out if you but doesn't realise shes just making a prat of herself, and my dad is WAY too over protective... *sigh* the trials and tribulations of being 16 going on 60, eh??
