I dont know where else to ask this.. HTML seems appropriate. Dont laugh :x What size would i have to make a webpage in order for it to be able to be viewed in AOL?

what do you mean? do you mean that your website can only viewed on AOL? or all browsers? all browsers allow to view your site.

i don't think you can change the size of it.... cuz the aol screen fits the size of the monitor if your monitor is 13" it will fit as a 13" and if it's a 17" it will fit as a 17", also don't for get about resolutions...
but you should make it below 800 by 600px if you want it to fit all windows including aol

i would say 780 width :) 800 width makes the scrollbar appear butif you make a layout for 1024x768 (width 1003) then make sure you have scrollbars on, and not off. Off looks nice when you have the right resolution, but people with 800x600 will not be able to scroll and will not see the whole layout.

but for pop-up make sure you make it smaller then 800x600 because someone with 800x600 might not see the whole 'pop-up' because it takes up the full screen.

height depends on what the person has in his browser. if the person doens't have the "file edit screen favorites" etc bars on top then the height is bigger, but if the visitor has more things in his browser like buttons etc then the height gets smaller.

Mirna

i'd think it would have to be pretty small... i'll say 600X500 but i'm not too sure. maybe even smaller...

wow. thanks alot guys. i think i kinda get it.. ill probrally get what i want through a few tries. I just wanted to make sure i didnt make the graphics too big.. as long as I dont make them bigger than that would fit in 800x600 i think im cool.
Thanks again XD

You also gotta consider that AOL users may or may not maximize their actual browser window....when i used AOL, i never maximized my window because it would be a pain to keep up with im's if i did. But if your site is directed to an audience that wouldnt use IM's as much, go ahead and make it for a maximized window...but if you're gearing it toward, say, teenagers, go small ^_^
