Have you, by any chance, been reading up some old threads? If you are not messing about, and you know where to buy real hagelslag, I bet there's plenty people on this forum who would like to know where you can buy it, outside of Holland that is. Kubi 06-28-2005, 09:10 PM I got some from Holland we got a load of it so we have alot now.=) forgetmenot 06-28-2005, 09:12 PM Jars? I have only seen it in boxes so far... We think they're right. This pack includes 3 buns (to bake in an oven), 3 smoked sausages and 3 bags of a special mustard sauce. You can create your own typical Dutch 'broodje rookworst' in 3 minutes! €4,99 440g This is so yummie :P Kubi 06-28-2005, 09:56 PM I didnt think of that. But thanks we are running out..only a few left:(Yay order time Blakelyn 06-29-2005, 02:55 AM LoL, the bread in those pictures reminds me of mickey mouse. I've never heard of that, but it sounds really good! kutepups63 06-29-2005, 02:58 AM hagelslag? it sounds so good! adrielle 06-29-2005, 03:02 AM it..looks like this cake deco I see everywhere, from the Google image search :confusion but maybe the taste's not the same. and what you eat it with :) I'd like to try some :D Sheila 06-29-2005, 08:26 AM Some of the hagelslag they have here reminds me of the 'sprinkles' "we" use to put on our ice cream in America. The Bosvruchtenhagel is my favorite...the fruity flavor reminds me of jam for some reason. http://www.deruijter.nl/assortiment.asp?id=4 (Can only see pics in IE) I agree Sphere.... Broodje Unox is yummy. Peter 06-29-2005, 09:37 AM I like the puur and vlokfeest vlokken http://www.deruijter.nl/assortiment.asp?id=1 (you can only see the pics in IE) adrielle 06-29-2005, 12:39 PM Some of the hagelslag they have here reminds me of the 'sprinkles' "we" use to put on our ice cream in America. Broodje Unox is yummy. Oh yes, I meant the sprinkles :) looks yummy--is it only sold in Holland, and through the net? Sheila 06-29-2005, 12:51 PM Oh yes, I meant the sprinkles :) looks yummy--is it only sold in Holland, and through the net? As far as I know, I've only ever seen it in Holland (and the net of course). I can always send you some if you want it. ;) (It took me awhile to remember they were called sprinkles. ) MaGiCSuN 06-29-2005, 01:03 PM hmmm i never tried broodje unox yet ! lol i like hagelslag.. especially the chocolate brown and white together ;) and i like vruchtenhagel once in a while aswell :) the "muisjes" are always good on "beschuit" ... but i mostly only get it when someone has got a baby (girl or boy) haha http://www.deruijter.nl/assortiment.asp?id=3 Love, Mirna Blakelyn 06-29-2005, 01:15 PM I wish I had known about this stuff when I was in Holland last year. We ate at an asian restaurant (I think it was asian) on the river beside the Botel where we stayed in Amsterdam. I certainly don't think it was Dutch food. MaGiCSuN 06-29-2005, 01:28 PM the asian food or the hagelslag ? :P Chris 06-29-2005, 01:49 PM I'm sorry Kubi, but I think that you're fibbing. In no way do I mean to be mean but that's what I think. I'd love to try it! It looks so delicious! :D Monkey Bizzle 06-29-2005, 03:18 PM I guess I'm the only person who thinks it looks gross... I'm not a big chocolate fan anyways. adrielle 06-29-2005, 04:00 PM  welll it doesn't reaally look that appealing to me cause I keep thinking of those sprinkles (yeah Sheila, hard word lol) and the taste of them..but I think maybe it might be different when you actually eat it? :P As far as I know, I've only ever seen it in Holland (and the net of course). I can always send you some if you want it. ;) (It took me awhile to remember they were called sprinkles. ) ohh that would be a good idea :buckt: :D Blakelyn 06-29-2005, 05:14 PM the asian food or the hagelslag ? :P I meant the restaurant that we ate at. I'm not sure what kind of food it was - is anyone familiar with the restaurant on water in Amsterdam? I want to say it was Indonesian food, but I can't remember. Anyways, I'd love to try hagelslag. Maybe if I ever make it back to the Netherlands, I'll try it. Magln Meow 06-29-2005, 05:31 PM Oh gosh, that must be incredibly delicious. Of course, not very good in health wise. Chocolate on bread? :9 forgetmenot 06-29-2005, 07:21 PM Oh gosh, that must be incredibly delicious. Of course, not very good in health wise. So it's good in the end. There is another way to eat chocolate on bread: Here we are all "Nutella"-addicted. I remember reading about Nutella in the peanut butter thread. Still haven't tried it... I haven't seen it in stores anywhere. Maybe I'll order it online or something. Kubi 06-29-2005, 08:35 PM I'm sorry Kubi, but I think that you're fibbing. In no way do I mean to be mean but that's what I think. Oh well never mind..=/ Blakelyn 06-29-2005, 09:12 PM I LOVE Nutella! That stuff is yummy. And definately not healthy. salomeyasobko 06-29-2005, 09:54 PM nutella is soooo good! yummm  but i can't buy it anymore.. it's too dangerous.. i'll end up eating the whole container [well not the container itself, just everything inside it] :hehe: Lissa 06-29-2005, 10:22 PM Hagelslag tastes great with peanut butter <33 ! OH Marianne, I had finally gotten your package, those cookie-type-things tasted good :D *looks for bag* Kruidnoten, mmmm.. they tasted like graham crackers in cookie form! aerith86 06-30-2005, 02:52 AM It was my favorite thing to eat when I visited the Netherlands and the thing I miss most! adrielle 06-30-2005, 03:38 PM Does it taste anything like the sprinkles, Sheila? I was just wondering... I'll have to look out for Nutella the next time we do grocery shopping :flower: Oh well never mind..=/ I don't think you are....seeing you live in Scotland and all. at first it sounded a little fishy but, what if you did come across it in a thread or something and remember? :) westernrider 06-30-2005, 04:12 PM Mmmm. What is Nutella? I think the Hagelslag would be something I would love. I like anything chocolate-like. Maybe it is a good thing that it isn't found in America... I would probably be eating it all the time. Haha. Marianne... you should make a Hagelslag company in America. I am sure yoy would make millions from that. Haha. Kubi 06-30-2005, 04:28 PM Mmmm. What is Nutella? The childrens best friend!!=D http://tinypic.com/6is8e8.jpg starlet 06-30-2005, 05:10 PM I really want some now...i've always heard you guys talk about it but never really paid attention to it before. It looks like this stuff i used to eat all the time at work! Its interesting because the thought of chocolate on bread is just like, huh? that sounds nasty...but it obviously isn't nasty or you wouldn't all like it so much! Marianne 06-30-2005, 06:40 PM Starlet, if you want, I can find out how much it would be to ship it to you, so you can finally get aquinted with hagelslag ;) Hagelslag tastes great with peanut butter <33 ! OH Marianne, I had finally gotten your package, those cookie-type-things tasted good *looks for bag* Yeah, I thought you'd like kruidnoten, everyone loves them - they're delicious. They took long enough to get there though! salomeyasobko 06-30-2005, 07:43 PM i really want to try some now! :buckt: is that website someone posted really expensive? if it's not, maybe i'll try some from there.. i don't know if it's worth it though  Marianne 06-30-2005, 08:50 PM shipping will probably make it expensive - but the stuff itself I think is not too bad - maybe about three times as much as it would cost if you bought it here in the shop I think. (Not that price-conscious) westernrider 06-30-2005, 10:32 PM Ah. I looked at the nutrition facts for nutella and it has 200 calories and 11 grams of fat all in only 2 table spoons. Ack. *random post I know* Marianne 07-01-2005, 06:15 PM see, that's why I never read the labels on stuff I like to eat. It might spoil my apetite. Cherchezlafemme 07-02-2005, 09:53 PM omg that looks like the stuff my aunt gets for me from south america. It's like this chocolate frosting looking stuff with jimmies in it <333 So yummy on potato bread ^_^ forgetmenot 07-04-2005, 05:20 PM Ah. I looked at the nutrition facts for nutella and it has 200 calories and 11 grams of fat all in only 2 table spoons. Ack. Trust me, once you start eating it, you don't worry about that anymore. I only feel bad after having eaten the whole jar... |
