Some of the hagelslag they have here reminds me of the 'sprinkles' "we" use to put on our ice cream in America. The Bosvruchtenhagel is my favorite...the fruity flavor reminds me of jam for some reason.

As far as I know, I've only ever seen it in Holland (and the net of course). I can always send you some if you want it. ;)

I wish I had known about this stuff when I was in Holland last year. We ate at an asian restaurant (I think it was asian) on the river beside the Botel where we stayed in Amsterdam. I certainly don't think it was Dutch food.

I meant the restaurant that we ate at. I'm not sure what kind of food it was - is anyone familiar with the restaurant on water in Amsterdam? I want to say it was Indonesian food, but I can't remember.

Anyways, I'd love to try hagelslag. Maybe if I ever make it back to the Netherlands, I'll try it.
