Does anybody know whether there is a UK alternative to GoDaddy.com? I am going to register my domain name today and was wondering if there was a good value place to register a . net or .org domain name in the UK, it seems that it is a lot cheaper to register it on a US site rather than a UK one - is this always the case?

I think you'll find more people that can restiger domain names in the US then the UK. There are hosting plans in the UK, maybe there's one where they just offer the domain name and not hosting?
You best bet would be find a place that can register domain names in the US, and then send a money order to them (make sure they allow them, first), and get one that way if you can't find anything in the UK.
