I have made a 2 frame page and have been able to have the left frame which has the navbar stay and the main frame go to the new page. My problem is that I cant save the frameset and change the name to "index.html" so it will open from the server. I either get one frame or the other. I named the the one main frame "mainframe" and the nav frame I named "Frame2" and saved each but cant figure how to save so as to put on server.
Not sure if this makes sense but will await any help that may be available.
I am using Dreamweaver MX

you haev to have 3 pages in total, one index.html page and 2 other pages that will load into the frames.
Put the framecode on the index.html page, and save it. Then make a left.html page (or whatever you call it) and save it, then make a right.html page (or whatever you call it) and save it. Make sure you link them right in your frame code, and everything should be fine
also i dunno what host you use, but you cannot use frames with geocities pagebuilder. :) Just to make sure hehe. I also see that you are using dreamweaver MX or whatever. That might be the problem too. My advise is to just open notepad, enter the frameset code and save as index.html (select "all files" to save) then also make the two other pages and save as right.html and left.html. Then it should work. I have had no experience with DMX but i do know that those 'pagebuilder programs' sometimes mess up things.
