Marianne 06-25-2005, 05:42 PM I don't know who our eldest member is, but today I happened to look at Today's birthday, and I noticed some William H Brown turned 76 today.
So I thought: this is probably just a kid who didn't fill out their real date of birth.
I tried to find William H Brown's posts, but they must have gotten deleted over the years.
So I had a look at his website, and it exists, and by the looks of it, this guy really is 76 years old today.
This (http://home.austin.rr.com/patsyruth/) is his website. I think it's kind of cute hehe.

kittycat 06-25-2005, 09:34 PM That's so neat, it's always kinda interesting to see older people take an interest in computer stuff :)
And didn't sherri bring his name up 2 summers ago as the oldest forum member for some reason? If anyone else remembers/wants to remember that :P
But why would an 76 year old join a mainly kids/20-30 year old's forum?
Sphere 06-25-2005, 09:55 PM We even have a 50+ moderator :)
lefty 06-25-2005, 10:10 PM Actually, it's primarily a kids' forum, so why would anyone over the age of 18 want to join? :P
We even have a 50+ moderator :)

yeah, we should! Wouldnt it be fun to have get someone to come back and wish him a happy belated Bday?
forgetmenot 06-26-2005, 09:09 PM Belated Happy birthday Mr. Brown!!!
I think it is great that someone starts to learn something new, when retired. My boyfriends dad starts to get into computers now, too (he's 69). He never had to use them during his work life. That definitely keeps him busy and interested in what is going on around him.
And why should somebody older not join this forum if they need hepl. There are some members over 30 in here, which you will notice when you check the birthdays. I think it's great that this forum is mixed ages.
aviegrace 06-27-2005, 05:34 AM I emailed him, thus accidentally creating the impression that I started the thread (opps.) So I supposed his reply is really for Marianne :p, and all you lovely people :p

Mister Brown, if you're reading this, my beloved granddad recently passed away and I miss him lots, if you're looking to adopt a granddaughter by any chance... just kidding. I do love those flowers :rose:
