On 2005-06-26 Sunday, we will mark 6 months since the Asian Tsunami

It was destavating 6 months ago.

The tsunami killed well over 200,000 people

They were no tsunami warning systems, so it came by surprise

It came with a magnitude 9.0 to 9.3 earthquake, triggering a tsunami.

The total energy released by the earthquake in the Indian Ocean has been estimated as 4.3 exajoules (4.3×10^18 joules)
(4 300 000 000 000 000 000 joules)

This is equivalent to 100 gigatonnes of TNT (100 000 000 000 tonnes)
(100 000 000 000 000 kilograms)

It was so sad that the tsunami killed so many people.

I think she's trying to say - why are you so obsessed with numbers and time?

Do you like maths? Lucky you, I keep failing maths... sadness.
