I have PSP9 and I've tried to download brushes twice now but they won't work, this (http://img244.echo.cx/img244/3163/brusj3qz.jpg) error message keeps coming up when i try to import them. Does this mean that i cannot import brushes??

did you used the import function or did you just placed them into the folder?

it can happen that sometimes .abr brushes are made in the newest version of photoshop and will not work in PSP. After all, it's not meant for that :)

If thery're made in photoshop 6 or older if you rename the '.abr' to '.jbr' it'll work with psp. But if the brushes are made in photoshop 7,cs or cs2 they wont work and you'll get that message. So make sure that they're made in PS6 or older and that you rename the brush to .abr (I see you didn't) then try.

yeah, I unzipped the file in the brushes section of the PSP9 folder, then i went onto File>Imports>Custom Brush>Open then i found my file and it came up with the message

Yeah i changed it to .jbr but it wouldn't work either way

I'll try and look around for some older brushes and see if they will work :S

you have to import those aswell
psp9 uses scripting for brushes .. putting them into the brush folder isn't enough ..

p.s: psp 9 doesn't require renaming files .. it has the import function :)

Sorry i don't understand... I downloaded the zipped files into the Brush section, I then unzipped them into it, I then went onto PSP9 and File>Imports>Custom Brush>Open then i found my file and it came up with the message. Have I missed out a stage?

like i said:
.abr brushes don't always work. depends on in wich version they are made etc ..

does it give you the same error with the renamed .jbr brush aswell? or a different one ?

I just found some brushes that are .pspscript files, they load into the box to transfer but then it comes up saying that I already have a file named that so I can't upload it onto PSP9, so then I go and rename it and it still doesnt work :S
