How do you feel about oil at $60/barrel? What do you feel if oil reaches $100/barrel.

Gas is already almost $3/gal in Cali  Should I even bother getting a car now? I might as well take the bus. If it didn't get 120+ degrees outside, I would just walk everywhere, lol.

Gas got to around $2.30 on average here, but it slowly came back down to about $2.03. I'm taking a road trip up to NY in a week, it's going to be expensive :x

I think that once we actually "run out" gas may get to $100/barrel, but I don't think that will be anytime in the next few years.

I don't really care; we'll just pay whatever prices.

Especially if you're coming to NY... our cheap gas is around $2.35.

Gas was $2.06 a gallon here, and now it's up to $2.13 and rising... Heh... I can't wait until the day when I can't afford a job because I can't afford to get there.

speak for your side of the river :P

the cheapest for a while was $2.29... now I think the last station that had that price went up to $2.31, but I've seen it as high as $2.41 (which is actually WAY up there. most of the more expensive places tend to be $2.33 to $2.37)

but I assume you're going to NYC? I would think you'll pay quite a bit more there.

I'm so glad my car (::grumble::- which I may not have much longer, thank you rusted frame and lack of functional power steering :P) gets decent gas mileage for its age (somewhere around or just under 25 mpg in everyday driving with a fair amount of stop and go traffic- on a 1988 Honda Accord). I lasted about 3 weeks on a tank of gas ($21) going back and forth to work 5 days a week (it's only about 6.5 miles one way, but still). it would be nice if gas wasn't so expensive, but I don't really have a choice. in order to make money I need to be able to drive to work and back.

Gas right now in Newport News, Va is 1.99 at the cheap station... It rarely goes over that.

I'm suprised that gas would reach $1.00/litre in my place.

Ever heard about hydrogen cars?

Or hybrid (gas/electric) cars?

I looked under Yahoo! search about biodiseal fuel

I found something that gives us the latest engergy prices

(look for the very top, [Nymex Crude])

gas is up to $ 1.76 a litre! now I am lucky I have a small 3 cylinder daihatsu that goes 85mpg. I do have more roadtax than in america, and my insurance is skyrocketing due to suv drivers overhere not being able to keep their eyes on the road.

I wanted a hybrid car, but apparently they're not as good on gas as originally intended - I'll wait a while for them to improve first.

I'd like a hybrid, but getting one, given the price, is a long way off.
