View Full Version : Transferring Files Question

I have a few different sites registered through Angelfire, and I am planning on combining all of them into a total of 2 registered sites. One of them will have the files and pages that I'll edit, and the other one will be the site that people click to.

My question is, how would I transfer all the files (photos & sounds) into the ONE site that will have the files & pages? I've tried using the transloader, but that won't work. I've also tried to work with GeoCities, but Angelfire seems to be pretty easy for me at this point. I'm currently in a Web Page Design class at school, but they're just covering basic stuff right now, and may be a couple weeks before they might get into transferring things - IF they do.

Could anyone suggest anything to help me out here? I just don't want to save all the photos i have in these files to my hard drive because i have close to 2MB worth of photos - I'm guessing.

Thanks - Help would be much appreciated!!!

I was going to suggest the transloader because that's the easiest way to transfer files. why doesn't it work?

I think you're stuck with downloading it all and re-uploading them. There's really no easy way to do it.

I'm not sure why it won't work, but when I try and do it, it gives me this message: "It looks there was no file at the URL you requested. Please check the URL and try again."

I know there's a file there because it takes up about 3MB worth of space in that site, so I know it's there.....and that particular one is just one item, and it's an MP3. On another site, one file has the photos i want, and takes up about 1.14MB of space - so I obviously have a bunch of stuff that I would like to transfer into one site.

Any suggestions other than going in and saving everything one by one?
