1. What is JavaScript? JavaScript is a programming language that originated with Netscape. It's very easy to use and makes your Web site more interactive to visitors.

2. What is Java? Introduced by Sun Microsystems in 1995, Java is a programming language that was designed for the internet environment. It can be used to write programs which can be embedded in your Web site.

3. What is the difference between JavaScript and Java? Java creates stand alone applications, like applets, JavaScript does not. JavaScript was developed to interact with the HTML of a Web site.

How do I make snow fall on my Web page? (http://www.lissaexplains.com/snowinstructions.zip)I found that on this (http://www.thefirebolt.net/javascript.htm) page. It sounded familiar so I Googled it and found it here. Sorry if this isn't in the right forum by the way. So, I was wondering... is that allowed? I didn't think it was. It seems like stealing to me

Oh, ok. I didn't see that. This person has copied lots of other sites from what I can tell. Would it be best to report him to each site he copied from?

Go ahead, but it depends on the other Web sites he copied information from. Some don't mind if you repost their text content somewhere else as long as there's credit.

Well, none of his pages give credit and all the other sites have (C) at the bottom. I think I'll go look at their terms. Thanks.

You might as well warn all of the Web sites he copied from to look out.

Thanks. I've done that. I emailed like seven sites! It's amazing how people will just copy and paste without even bothering to change anything. Should I email Lissa or will she see this thread?

I'll post a link to it in the mods section so she's sure to see it :)

No problem. Almost every page was copied. I emailed his webhost also. The site seems to have disappeared today.... it hasn't been up all day.
