I have 3 simple layouts here, which do you think is the best? The one which is the best i will make my layout for all my site, until then these are test pages.

any improvements i can make on them would be greatly appreciated

The red one is good because it has a good solid background that contrasts nicely with the white boxes. The lined one also does that but there is something about the color of the text. The plus one is just too much white I think...

the red is what i actually started making but i wanted a change.. i see what you are saying about the whitness but it hasnt really made it easier to choose i mean i want the plus effect, but if its not what works best then il try something else

I would have said the line layout, but the second plus is so much better. :) Having a solid color back there just seems blah to me. The pluses are cute but it did need more color in the background. That way, the eye is draw to the white where the text will be. :rolleyes:

ditto! I was thinking that after I saw the second plus layout but then I see it was already said =P

I would have said the red one or striped one at first. But, now I agree with the others about the second plus one. Fist of all it is because I love blue and secondly the darker pluses with the constrast of the white pluses is nice :P

what is it about the red people like? some think its abit bland? im lightly towards the plus#2 but if i can make it even better then that would be great

probably because it looks to "default" .. like it hasn't been styled or something. text too big etc ...

but if i have to choose, i'll go with the first one because of the "colors" of the layout ..

Yeah right now im currently awaiting a decent graphics program to be honest im just fed up of plain colours, i love your freak out and let it go background (being a very big avril fan myself) Iv been waiting for something like paint shop pro off my parents for ym birthday (a week today) but instead they decided to get me a fab new flat panel 17" monitor (not that im complaining lol)

then you can atleast have 60 days of practice with it ;)
but really, styling the text, like removing underline from links etc.. can do a whole lot to a layout, without even changing the image in it.

I like the plus 2 best. The red one was nice too. The striped one would distract too much from the text.

I like the red one mainly because it is by fav. colour

i like the line one best, and the red, but i accidentally voted for the plus, which i think is too white, and funny looking, the other ones are nice.
