I feel daft asking this but i want to install B2 but i cant even open the .php files to edit the info, it defaults to 'photo parade' which is a program i obviously dont have, when i tell it to open in notepad it comes out wrong (you know, with weird characters and boxes in it)
So do i need to download this photoparade program or am i just missing something obvious?

try opening it with wordpad, Maguma PHP studio is a good free program also, if you decide to use something more advanced

I think you have to get rid of those boxes- Notepad shouldn't be adding anything like that, because .php files are simply text files. I think the boxes are because that file was created on another OS, because different OSs use slightly different end of line characaters- so when they're encountered in Windows, they're a foreign character. (it's either because of the OS or the hardware/whether it uses the IBM extended ASCII codes or not, I don't remember exactly how that works :P)

so however you open it (I changed the association on my computer so that Notepad is set to open .php files), I think you'll have to get rid of the boxes and replace them with new lines

Opening in wordpad worked fine...boxes gone, odd! I only needed to edit 1 file so i wont bother looking into it further now lol

Thanks for the help!

I want to view PHP files on my comp (yes my comp does support PHP) but it's not working! I see all this text and stuff and mumbo jumbo! I download the script from http://x.faction.nu/# (booker) and it just doesn't work! Why? I didn't mess with the code but it still comes like that?
