Ok here's the deal.
I tried to password my laptop with the windows "user" utility (im using OS 98). I can bypass this easily though, just by clicking "cancel" on the sign-in screen, and then windows starts up. Hardly secure. How can i make it so you have to choose a name and enter a password?
Oh, and how can i disable this? Right now everytime I log on, I get that prompt. I can't find anywhere to disable it.
Did I lose anyone? I just have to say, this makes me feel really non-hardcore being defeated by simple "easy-to-use" windows software. Oh well. I appreciate the help...
