I have front page and notepad, but i only use Notepad. I hate editors i really do, I'm sorry but they seem to make it more complicated, they put in codes that you dont need, making the files massive sometimes, and you cant do some stuff you can if you were just writing your own script.

In school i picked Business communication systems instead of IT, at one point the IT class were learning how to make websites, i thought this was good you know, show them how to write a script, i mean it isnt that hard when you get the hang of it and its really handy, i taught myself off here just over 3 years ago when i was around 11 or 12. But boy was i wrong! They used editors to make the codes for them, and then they printed off the script, and had to circle stuff like "This is how my text was made bigger" and it was REALLY basic stuff, and this is at GCSE! My friends find it highly ironic i know more stuff on computers, including writing scripts ect. than them and i didnt even take the class!

I guess experience counts for more than being told by a teacher.. Anyway, sorry totally lost the plot there, haha, Notepad **boos editors**

Notepad. MS Word allows you to edit HTML, but I don't use it.

Notepad :P It came with the computor so it seemed obvious to use it. Plus I don't know how to use the others! :)

I use notepad but when I first started and didn't know the codes by hear, I used an editor called DerekWare... Unlike Frontpage, etc, it wasn't a WYSIWYG editor... It was just like notepad but if you couldn't remember say the tag for <font color=""> then you would click on the colored alphabet icon and it would insert the code for you... you would of course have to input your own color code, etc...

Dreamweaver. The program will complete tags and whatnot for you, drop down a list of attributes for the tag, etc. It makes everything go quicker and (as far as I know) it doesn't add useless code.

I don't use the graphical interface much at all. Although it can be handy every once in awhile. I also like the preview window.

Notepad and wordpad, but mostly wordpad because I edit a lot of php stuffs. I also like viewing my sources with firefox, it hilights a lot of things and it's easier to edit your codes and stuff.

Notepad or editpad. If I'm editting a page someone posted on the forum though I'll open it in IE then edit with frontpage, easier than saving something to my computer.

Notepad. I've had to fix up sites that used Frontpage or other builders. They add a whole bunch of junk code and don't support more advanced scripts. Yeah, I hate editors..

I use a Notepad-ish editer... only it's so much better. Editpad Lite... found it on download.com and it works very well.

I use DW. I like the markup coloring, the auto-completetion of tags, highlighting unclosed tags if I ever mess up and delete something wrong, the lovely site management, the spell checker, the auto-updater of links. I only use the code view though. I honestly don't know how to use the WYSIWYG functionality and it's a waste of time learning.

I use Notepad and Topstyle Lite(for CSS). My dad thinks that I'm crazy using Notepad, insisting I should use some big editor :-) He's a computer programmer, and went to work telling people - "guess what my daughter uses for web pages!" Haha...everyone is like, "She's crazy!"

I use notepad and editpad, editpad is good for multiple file stuff and better for editing PHP.

I have Notepad, TextPad, and Frontpage, but I only use TextPad since it has that markup coloring, which makes it easier to look through my coding and find any errors.

I have Dreamweaver but I never use it. Notepad serves me better, I like to hand write everything, even if it takes forever.

notepad, dreamweaver, adobe goLive and all that junk :P
i only use notepad on regular basis, and dreamweaver when i'm too lazy to code my own image map :P

so yeah i vote notepad, since i dislike any "easy editor" out there :)

I have and use both Dreamweaver and Notepad. I used Dreamweaver and usually code most of my own stuff with it, and divide the screen between coding and designing so I can see what it looks like as I code it. Notepad I use when I want to do quick, simple stuff.
