hey ok i'm installing a 4images gallery an i have 2 questions.

First question:

HTACESSE file from the cache folder wont upload using my smart ftp

do you need this file or wat?

Second question:

ok i was using the instruction from this guy on a form to hook it up. I just want to question this one thing because i really dunno wat to do, the other stuff he said made sense.

opps never mind, i think i deleted the instructions eh? no biggie, i sent it to laura, on wed she will send it.

but umm can u peeps give me some other tips like setting it up. Like i set it all up but then sumothing happened and it all like shut down and i'm starting again. rite now i'm just at the entering english info, but i want to make sure that all the files are correctly uploaded

uhhh?

Yesterday i was making a .htaccess and windows didn't let me start a file with a . (wich is a hidden file on linux) So i named it just htaccess and after uploading i renamed it to .htaccess . Its mostly used to set a password on a folder and things like that.. not sure if its a must to use that i think it'l work also without only it will be a bit less safe (maybe open dirs etc)

so let me see if i under stand you correctly

ok so this is wat i did

i save the htaccess as a htm file

then uploaded it and then changed it back into an htaccess file
