Let me see...hmm...well, I got my ideas from visiting hundreds of sites, and used the ideas I liked the most for my site. I keep on doing that because I want my site to be the best, and the most helpful for anyone who is new to DBZ. So far, apparently my quiz seems to be the most popular thing on my site, however so far my own forum has yet to gain it's first member! :crying:

But I think the thing that was the worst, was this contest for people to make me a banner. It was worst than you can imagine...no one entered, and the page took up so much space, that I deleted it in the end.

So anyway, I'd say, try to have something that so original, that it's not on any other site, so people will have to come to your site to see it. For example, my site is the only one that has a timeline with pictures, because I created it myself, and there isn't another DBZ timeline with pictures that I know of on the web. Also, always get permission before you use stuff, or else you can get in very big trouble. (not that I'd know, I haven't had the experience...)

bethygirl....nice idea for a thread! I'm very curious to see what other's will say.

I usually get ideas at really odd moments, like while I'm driving or when my computer is broken. Or both. *pout*

My biggest motivation is changing my content, I love changing things around and adding new stuff. I get so bored when I keep the same content, and I know if I'm bored my visitors must be.

I haven't found anything that's a big hit yet, although it would be nice to know if I did have something people enjoy.

Usually I get my inspirations at the most random times like in the shower. Whenever you get the inspiration and you can't get to your computer, try to plan it all out on paper perferably, but if you can't just try to think about every detail. If that doesn't work then I just go find tutorials and see if something hits me.

That EXACTLY happens to me when i'm inspired. But, most of the time it's like when I see a piece of art or a desktop wallpaper I'll be inspired. Then, I see something else and I get even more inspired about that and I forget a good idea.. *humph* That's why on my new site that's coming it's been through 4 layout styles lol.

Hmm...I get ideas for my website...from really anywhere. Lately, it's been songs/poems/TV Shows, but my new layout is going to be dedicated to Caz, since she's one of my really good online friends. =D *tickles Caz* Hehe.

Motivation? I think I'd have to say what motivates me most is probably my friends. They tell me my site is awesome, and that's why I want to update it for them.

My biggest hit probably would have to be the second layout I had. My first one, everyone was afraid of Duncan Mcleod, my third one I haven't gotten many comments on, but my second one, Tyger Tyger, everyone liked the eyes.

My web design style isn't very happy. All my background colors are black or Dark green, or they feature a slightly depressing song. =P

Something I tried on my site was putting up all the dolls that I've made. They just took up alot of space, and I finally took them down. I think no one noticed, and or no one cared. =D

*looks above* God. I'm not a very happy person...

How do you guys gather ideas for your webpage?
For my Céline site, I put the information that I, as a visitor, would want. For example, I care more about downloading rare songs than reading a biography that I've heard a thousand times. For my personal site I just put whatever I feel like. I visit other personal sites to get ideas. For my school project sites I put what's required.

What keeps you motivated?
Seeing how great other people's sites look and thinking that I may one day have a site like that.

Whats always a hit on your website?
Well, my Céline site, the only one that I expect to get any traffic, isn't up yet, but I think the biggest hit will be the rare songs.

Whats your web design style?
It varies. My Céline site is on it's fourth layout, which is simple and semi-glitzy. It's main colors are black and red. The previous design was fun and complicated; it's colors were purple and white. The design before that was soft and pretty; it's colors were pale pink and white. The design before that was happy and calm; it's colors were blue and black. My personal site is blue, my music video site is black and white, and my Romanov site is purple and pink. Basically, it depends on what graphics I find.

What did you try on your site and didnt exactly go across very well...
Light pink lettering on a white background. Huge graphics. Complicated menus.

Any webdesign things you'd like to share.
iFrames are great. Wonderful; they make it simple to redesign.
