i am having trouble..when i draw an object like a circle the edges go all jaggedy like the quality is set to low or something. how do i specify the quality of the image/document?

can you post your flash file online somewhere so we can have a look?

You can set the quality of the work you publish in the publish settings.. its only for jpg compression, but you can also turn compression of. Although i don't think that will help. A drawn circle is a vector, so it will be saved as a formula that will be realtime rendered by the flash plugin, so i don't know why it turns "jaggedy"

Did you exported it as .swf?
