I was uploading my files and the layout

i get a 404 page not found also.

im getting the page not found error in firefox, and IE.
Is your first page called "index.htm" or .html anything else like .php or .shtml wont work.

that is not true... unless you mean it won't work because it's freewebs...
You get red x's because you didn't upload your images.

you have to put your images in a folder called "images" because if you look at your code, it's looking for "images/Chas1_02.gif" which would be "http://www.freewebs.com/spreadwaheguru1/images/Chas1_02.gif" but right now you have them in the same directory as your index page.

i'm sure somewhere there is an option to create a new folder... just go there and create the folder called "images" and then when you go to upload your images, the "images" folder should be a choice to upload to.

The images folder is created in my documents already when I did this on photoshop 7
Are u talking about that or the freewebs where u can add a folder?

I'm not going to do it for you (re: your PM). I'm not being rude but if you don't do it yourself, then you will never learn. I will walk you thru it tho...
When you log onto your account, go to "Site Manager" under "Member Tools" on the right hand side.
Then, in the middle of the page there are 3 options. Choose "Add A Folder" and name it "images" and re-upload your images to that folder. When you select "Upload File" choose "images" from the drop down and delete the images out of your main directory.
