Well, I have Windows XP Home, so does my parents computer. When I got my computer it came with some ghetto not even microsoft office. It was like windows works or something, it was horrible. We had a cd from several years ago for windows pro 97, so i installed that, worked fine, but its weird compared to office xp which im used to. Now, back to the actual comparing computers, I copied officexp from my parents computer to mine, and I know that isnt the problem because i have copied office from one computer to another before and it worked. Well, I get this error when I try to run it, and by run I mean it should try to install it, thats what it did when its in the shared folder on their computer

The operating system is not presently configured to run this application

any ideas why itd be doing this?

It appears to not work with Windows XP.

XP is more advanced than older versions so you can't just copy a program and expect it to work on the other computer. Especially when it's a Microsoft product. That's probably what the issue is.
