Bit of a silly question sorry...

On LJ you know how you can get little hearts and stars. Well I could see them fine. Then on my new computer I got the filled in heart, but the empty heat and empty star appear as empty squares. Why is this?

could be that you're browser doesn't support what ever image it is or what ever it's doing with javascript or maybe even a fluke :).

It doesn't work on someone elses computer I know too.

are they text? it sounds like if they are, maybe you don't have the same font installed, so your default or their second choice font doesn't have those characters.

Ah yes that's what I thought. I can't figure out what font it is though?
