There's this idea of memes (habits, skills, songs, stories, or any other kind of information that is copied from person to person) coming from Susan Blackmore. She claims these are very important and might control our life in the future.
In my opinion meme seems to be quite the same thing as an idea so I don't see a point to distinguish them.
