Hey Everyone, i'm kinda new and haven't posted much because in the past i have found the answers i have been looking for by searching the forums..
Anyway my question.. I've been trying heaps of diffrent techniques to get my I-Frame transparent for the past hour none of which worked :( Can someone please explain to me why the I-Frame will not go transparent on My Tester Webpage (http://shaneo.yoll.net)?
Here is what i have done..
In the iframe line on the main page i put style="filter:alpha(opacity=40)" which didn't work
and in the iframe page itself i put <STYLE TYPE="text/css">
<!--
BODY {background: none; transparent}
-->
</STYLE>
Any help would be gr8ly apprecaited.. Thanks :)

try enterting this into the iframe code that you're using
<iframe style="filter:alpha(opacity=50)">
and of course all your other stuff goes in there too. src, frameborder, etc.
You got it?
I'm pretty sure that's the code, though i always spell ocpacity/opacity wrong.

Thanks but that doesn't work :(. I already have that style thing in my iframe HTML line and it doesn't work.. Here's my I-frame line exactly as it is on my tester webpage (http://shaneo.yoll.net)..
<iframe src="iframe.htm" name="iframe" style="filter:alpha(opacity=40)" width="50%" height="25%" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe>

Okay i got one of my friends to look at my tester webpage (http://shaneo.yoll.net) and he said that the I-frame background was transparent so possibly the reason it's not transparent for me is because im using IE5.. Could some people who use IE6 please confirm it's transparent for me.. Thanks :D

I use IE 6 and it is NOT transparent for me.
The best way to make a transparent Iframe is to lighten the background yourself in a graphics program.

I am aware of that code that your're suppose to put in the iframe code, and in the page html that acutally loads (found it by searching the forums) and that i have done.. As mentioned above one of my friends says it's now transparent but it's not for me. Can some people using IE6 please tell me if it is or it isn't.. That's all i ask :) It doesn't for me in IE5 which is a pain in the bum!
