My school never ever has snow days. We had a 2 hour delay for buses once and the superintendent refused to close school. Last year we had three because of ice, but before that...the last snow day we ever had was when I was in 1st grade [I'm in tenth].

So of course, when snow falls in April in my lovely -cough- little town in North-eastern Ohio, we get a snow day.

That is sooo weird.

I wanted to scream because it was snowing here yesterday- it was in the 70s at the beginning of last week, then that yesterday. granted, it wasn't much and it didn't accumulate at all, but it was weird that I was walking to a finals review session in the snow. it's not supposed to snow during finals week of the spring semester :P

even if it had accumulated, it woudln't really affect me. my school has been around for a couple hundred years and the university has shut down because of weather exactly once :P

It's 57 degrees here today, and it's, well, Florida :P I went to walk my dog this morning in a tank top and shorts, and had to run back in, it was so freezing! I wonder what's with this weird weather thing, it seems to be changing a lot this spring.

Same here... It's always hot in Nevada... In the winter in never snows, except once, and that was a very long time ago and it melted with in the hour. I don't see the point of winter here if all there's no snow! During summer it is dangerous... Over 100 degrees! :( Sad, I know... But currently it's been nice weather in mid 70's, that's why I always like spring best.

yeah, it was 85 degrees last week and it started to rain/snow friday afternoon. i love between detroit and lansing, so we didnt get near the amounts that flint got. they got nearly a foot, we got about 6 inches total, however, its nearly all melted now. i didnt mind, we have school, but the roads werent bad at all, nothing stuck to anything except the grass here, so its fine, im glad about that because there was nothing to shovel :D...but yeah, im not sure because weather.com has too many popups for these crappy school computers but its probably 40-50 out now, it got to teen wind chills yesterday i didnt go outside at all. i hope thats the last of snow for this year, it was just nervewrecking to worry about having to shovel lol

Lol, a joke we have at our school is "We never get snow days...just tornado days" because 2 years ago in November, our middle school was hit by a tornado. It completely destroyed my science room. We had to be moved to this rather large church...but before that we had a week off of school!

Funny how weather destroys the things we love, like school(NOT!) :hehe: too bad those hurricanes destroyed everyone else's school but mine...

Kiara, I'm with you. It was seventy degrees most of last week, and all of a sudden on Friday it was fifty, and then on Saturday, it was 41 and rainy. (Not fun if you're trying to run around with a poster). And that evening it snowed. Not that we'd ever get a snow day out of it. The latest one that I can think of was March 15th of last year, and that's within range. Of course, my Environmental Science teacher pulls out the soil survey for our county, and informs us that this really isn't all that unusual. (Yes, there is weather data in the soil survey.)

The world is NOT coming to an end.

About the weather senario, I was felt like it! Last week, it was in the mid to high 20s (°C) in my place. Then the temps goes down to the low single digits °C on the early weekend, then it snowed on...late Saturday.....or early Sunday?

And no, I haven't seen The Day After Tomorrow.

It's cool down here in Florida right now. I've never seen snow before. If I move to a place where it does snow, I would probably have to go to Florida every winter :lolol:

Yup, yup. Our weather officially stinks. I had to dig out my poor gloves, which were supposed to be buried until November. I just kept thinking "It's almost MAY...get your months straight!"

Global warming, I'm telling you...

It was in the 80's a few days ago...now it's, at the highest, in the low 60's. It should be WARM... Not...this.

I was hoping for a snow day today but of course it wasn't snowing at all :P It's not completely unusual to have snow this late, I know it's snowed on the May long weekend before. Although this winter actually wasn't that bad, in my area we got less snow than we usually do.

Eh...we got more snow than usual. Ay least, in my opinion. I think we broke the record a couple times.

Oh but yesterday [when I made this board] my dad told me that we broke the record for the most snow fall during the entire winter.....IN APRIL!
