I've recently installed Adobe Acrobat Reader which was included in a different program. My question is, what does it do?

(I've had a nightmare with all this today, spent 4 hours trying to do something that involved it, but thats totally beside the point)

It allows you to view .PDF files.

Can you make .pdf files with it?

Yes... if you want to do something with a pdf file, that's the program to use.

actually, you can't with Acrobat Reader. you need the full version of Acrobat in order to create .pdf files.
