View Full Version : cut my hair!!! mentalthoughts 04-11-2005, 01:48 AM did u ever cut ur hair by urself ? well thats wat i did and im scared i might be in trouble with my mom!!! starlet 04-11-2005, 01:50 AM Does it look ok? can't imagine you'll get in trouble if it isn't hideous. I tried to cut myself a fringe once...NEVER again, it was a disaster lol Kubi 04-11-2005, 01:56 AM Lol.I tried when I was 9 my hair looked zig zaggy.:lolol: Karen_ 04-11-2005, 01:58 AM I used to cut my bangs all the time. I had a cowlick type thing, and I didn't know what to do with it so I just cut it off. Everytime it came back I cut it off again, my hair looked crazy after a while lol. I don't see why you would get in trouble unless your parents are super strict... It's your hair. aerith86 04-11-2005, 02:20 AM I'm not talented with scissors, so I wouldn't trust myself on my whole head but I do cut my bangs by myself. I can cut a straight line in front of my face, why pay a hair stylist $8 to do it? It's your hair, even if it turned out hideous I can't see why your parents would get mad at you. You'll have to live with the bad haircut, not them! Cherchezlafemme 04-11-2005, 03:43 AM lol i would never cut my hair by myself lol Lissa 04-11-2005, 03:58 AM I never have,, but when my sister was little she decided she didn't want her bangs and basically shaved a quarter of her head with scissors. Right before a bitrhday party for one of her friends. My mom cried :P I think she was a bit overemotional for that  starlet 04-11-2005, 04:11 AM American bangs = British Fringe?? lefty 04-11-2005, 05:04 AM I think bangs are a fringe, yeah. I used to cut my own bangs, because it just seemed stupid to go to a hairdresser for it. I don't have them anymore, though :P Monkey Bizzle 04-11-2005, 08:27 AM i always wondered why they were called bangs... does anyone know why? aerith86 04-11-2005, 11:26 AM i always wondered why they were called bangs... does anyone know why? It's one of the great unexplained mysteries :) scorpio_chick 04-11-2005, 11:30 AM cut my hair by myself? no wouldn't do it. it would really be a big mess, who knows what would be the outcome 0.o plus i might get in trouble for doing it. kiara 04-11-2005, 11:51 AM Ha...I did when I was four....that was a disaster. Apparently I "wanted to be a boy" and not a girl. My babysitter was on the phone and her son and me hacked off my ponytail and cut more of my hair off. Basically I had zigzags as well. When my babysitter saw, she freaked and called my mom, who came over. My mom still has the white blonde strands of hair somewhere. But I'm sure it can't be that bad...like everyone else was saying...it's your hair. Kubi 04-11-2005, 12:25 PM American bangs = British Fringe?? I was wondering too:P Sheila 04-11-2005, 03:13 PM I only cut my bangs myself. reddragon8 04-11-2005, 04:55 PM did u ever cut ur hair by urself ? well thats wat i did and im scared i might be in trouble with my mom!!! Are you cutting your hair (i mean all of it), or just the fringe/"bangs...?" I have a side fringe...i used to cut it (myself) but im growing it out now. But if you mean all your hair ( i hope not ^__^;; ) then shud go to the hairdressers... What if it goes wrong?...won't have a hairdresser to blame.... :P kittycat 04-11-2005, 05:12 PM I used to cut my own fringe/bangs, but I've grown it out now... I need a hair cut though, my hair's getting frizzy (and it will only get worse now that it's getting to summer :dead: ) starlet 04-11-2005, 05:15 PM http://terranaomi.blogs.com/photos/hair_errors_hairrors/img_0346.JPG ^ good example of a fringe...is that 'bangs' ? kittycat 04-11-2005, 05:19 PM Yep! starlet 04-11-2005, 05:25 PM Then how come all succesfully cut your own, but when i tried to do mine i ended up looking like an idiot child? lol I was hoping a fringe was more complicated than 'bangs' because now i feel stupid :P lefty 04-11-2005, 05:57 PM I didn't cut mine on my own... the hairdresser cut them, I just trimmed them :P sebluver 04-12-2005, 01:35 AM My current hair I cut myself, and I got compliments on it. I like cutting my own hair because I get what I want, not what the hairdresser thinks I'd look good with. Patrick 04-12-2005, 01:51 AM SuperCut's is where I go, so obvisouly i answered no. snow_ 04-12-2005, 02:05 AM I have never cut my hair before.. My mom probally wouldnt get mad if I did, though.. jazzberry 04-12-2005, 02:28 AM I've trimmed it once. Occasionally I trim the front bit, because...I'm weird, lol. I've cut my Mother's hair though, it turned out good! I need a hair cut, but I can't do anything with my hair until after the school show, so that kind of sucks. Owlie42 04-12-2005, 06:08 AM My hair's too thick and curly for me to risk doing anything drastic to it. I do trim the split ends myself, though. vintage 04-12-2005, 12:22 PM no harm trying, and its quite fun to do it any style you want but you'll find that when you go to the hairdresser, the hairdresser'd be wondering what really happened to your hair. all the 'different layers' and all. HAHA! :hehe: reddragon8 04-13-2005, 05:02 PM Ive been to supercuts...... they were really crap..... grrrr lol the best hairdresser was back in HK, 30 pounds; Coloured, permently straightened [you can't get it in uk :(], and cut Whooohoo, & it looked great... ;) last yr summer though, so the dyes coming out... :( Patrick 04-15-2005, 09:54 PM Yes I hate super cuts. And if you were going to say crap, I don't think that needs to be censored. They cut a piece of my ^^^^ing ear off. I'm ^^^^ed at them now. monkey_muffin 04-16-2005, 03:14 AM I once cut my bangs by myself, and I did a good job surpringly. But then again, I had the appropriate tools too. Of course they turned out shorter then I wanted, but oh well. ^_^ anime_roks 04-16-2005, 03:29 AM plbeane, did they REALLY cut a peice of your ear off? Patrick 04-16-2005, 05:59 PM teensy piece, it was bleeding, though. Not like my whole ear or anything. They said, "oh, just nuked his ear a little". They didn't appoligize or anything. That I thought was pretty rude  pom 04-16-2005, 11:06 PM I've wondered that too, about the bangs... Heh. Nah, I cut my bangs a little bit when I was, oh, 8. You couldn't even tell a difference. I was too scared to do anything more. Still am. I'm not a hair-cutting sort of person. melilyn 04-17-2005, 02:20 AM I cut my bangs originally and I trim them myself... they just look better that way, lol. I've trimmed my hair before (no more than an inch though) just to get rid of split ends. My hair's so long that I can't reach the back enough for a real haircut! But then it's so long that nobody would notice if I trim it a little crooked... LOL! |
