Hi,

I'm doing a photo gallery site for a friend and all the photos (jpeg, cropped and saved in PSP7) look great on my computer, no problems at all. When I went to check out my site on her computer, (she uses AOL) all my photos looked extremely bad. I used the lowest compression value (1), but they looked like they were saved at a high compression value. I use IE and also test in Firefox.

It's kind of like what's the point if all the photos are going to look bad? None of my photos are over 450 x 400 pixels. I tested out .png format and it looked good using AOL, but took forever to download.

Anyone else ever have this problem? Any ideas?

if it was on AOL, that was probably the problem. to save on bandwidth, AOL filters everything through their servers, compressing images in the process.
