Is it true that using frames may possibly be the reasons why search engines are not picking up your site?
I heard this may be true...and the same with iframes and javascript. If this is true, how then are so many sites with these factors being listed? Do they pay?
Thanks!

I think search engines can pick up on framed sites. All you have to do is insert your meta tags inside your main index document.

some crawlers are smart enough to know if it hits a frameset but i wouldn't bet on it. most of the 'amateur' sites use framesets, internal frames, layers, javascript and other stuff that actually hurts the site. very few professional sites use those things. those professional sites has to work for everybody everytime 'cos there's alot of money riding on the service they're providing.

some sites pay but they'll run into the same problem 'cos if the crawler runs and doesn't hit a link then it stops running on that site. the crawler only got to a portion of the site which is better then nothing but if you're paying for the whole thing it's a waste of money.
