Have you been to Canada lately? or do you live in Canada?

What's it like in Canada.

I like Canada's national Anthem.

I live in Canada.

Canada's National Anthem (2 versions)

(English Version)
O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!

From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee

(French Version)
O Canada! Terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux.
Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,
Il sait porter la croix.
Ton histoire est une épopée,
Des plus brillants exploits.
Et ta valeur, de foi trempée,
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits

I think Canada is cool, i see it as a sort of more liberal and 'nicer' version of America

I went to Vancouver, BC about two years ago, and I thought it was nice. Also, one day I want to go to Alberta and visit Banff National Park. :P

I've only been to Canada once, and it was, for all intents and purposes, America :P I've only been to the area immediately across the border around Niagra Falls, where everything is geared toward American tourists.

it does, in some ways, seem like it might be a better place to live than America, though :P

its cold and snows here all year long.
we live in igloos and take a dog sled to the local town to gather supplies.
polar bears are pets.
we say "eh?" after almost every sentence... eh?
everyone plays hockey.
our president is Brent Butt.

i have fun messing with people in the US who havent visited or know much about Canada... :hehe: they actually believe alot of that.

i live near Vancouver, BC, Canada... eh?

I live and Canada, I like it a lot. Our culture really isn't too different from the US, maybe just a bit more laid back :P Oh, and we don't have running water and most of us live in igloos.

oh yeah... and we have mounties too instead of police officers. they only patrol the main towns though considering the horses cant get along well in the deeper snow drifts. snowmobiles for those areas.

Oh, that reminds me, does anyone have any tips for keeping my walls from melting when I'm frying up my blubber and canadian bacon sandwich?

lol... Is Canadian bacon a name for ham, because everyone I know calls it ham lol
I do enjoy my poutine and donairs though :P

I've never been to Canada, which is bizarre seeing I live in NY :P But some day I'll visit, in the summer, so I don't die of the cold :P

You should see our rip off of the american show COPS... It's called MOUNTIES...
The high speed chases get a bit boring though since the horses get tired quickly.
But this one time a guy got his tongue frozen to a pole, and a mountie had to pour his double double on his tongue to get it off. What a waste... but he rolled up the rim and got a free donut. The man got free healthcare afterwards... It all worked out.

My aunt is a mountie lol.

^^ I live in Canada, like pb&j, around the Vancouver, B.C. area. I personally like my country a lot.....though my igloo can get a bit chilly :buckt:
I think we're a lot like America, but a little more relaxed, and a colder climate where it snows all year around (hence my excitement when Vancouver gets snow XD)

Canada IS kinda big.. *shrugs*

I'd like to go there, probably not long term though, I can't even stand the cold in Florida  I'm a big city person, so I'd probably go to somewhere like Toronto, or maybe somewhere in Quebec because 95% of the population speaks French.

And they sing songs about lumberjacks... :P

I have been to Canada (Toronto). My mother's uncle lives there. He's convinced that the US is going to annex it...

If the US was ever going to annex Canada, I'd have to support destroying Canada to protect Canadians and other people. I wouldn't want Canada to mutate into something like us... :)

Talking to Americans = best thing ever :P

Canada would be nicer if it were warmer, but it's all right the way it is. I think it's cool how we have two national anthems and only the first line means the same thing :P

are you serious??

no :P That would be cool though, but unfortunatly mounties are just police like in the US.. They very seldom wear that funny hat and red uniform... They don't even ride horses (much), just police cars :( lol
