What s the difference between an image map and a table? I read on the tables section of this site that tables align things on your page but I saw that u could add a background to it so is it like the tables are gonna be the image then I could put links on it? but I guess that if I want to put links on an image, I should use an image map but I want to put links on different places and not like the image map shown on http://www.lissaexplains.com/fun6.shtml . What I mean is that I want to put links on top, center, bottom of an image. It's like links within my site. So, if ever I'm right that I should use an image map, how do I put links on top, center, and bottom? Thanks in advance.

You can put an image map in a table if you want to... but the two are completely different things. With an image map, you can put the links where ever you want. You just have to find the proper coordinates for your links, they don't have to be exactly like they are on that page. :)

instead of having the links in the instructions Lissa gives cover the entire image, you can remove some of the links, using the pixels amounts to choose where your link is. an easier way would be to download cutemap - you can find a link to it on Lissa's image map page.
