Lemon Squash 05-17-2003, 11:23 AM I suggest downloading the trail version and mess about with it before you decide on buying the real thing. psp8 (http://www.jasc.com/trialreg.asp?pid=K-PSP8-USDIR) sebluver 05-17-2003, 11:24 AM I'd reccomend getting it off amazon too...the Anniversary addition costs $70 american dollars, but you get a $30 rebate. Not to mention it gets free shipping... Jrfan888 05-17-2003, 02:52 PM wow, it takes about an hour and 30 mins to download the trial version! Cherchezlafemme 05-17-2003, 03:07 PM lol PSP 8 is great so far! I'm not lost ........yet. Any way I am a first time PSP user and it's a great program Jrfan888 05-18-2003, 08:11 PM Originally posted by Cherchezlafemme lol PSP 8 is great so far! I'm not lost ........yet. Can do everything that photoshop does but is a lot easier to learn to use. The only disadvantage is that if you get into using brushes there are way more photoshop brush sites than psp brush sites. Any way I am a first time PSP user and it's a great program First it's beginner not begginner, but anyway I can definately relate. Well, it took me a little bit of time to understand what PSP was really capable of doing, and I'm still learning, so it's a little tricky for beginners, but you should be able to get the hang of it very easily, and if you have any questions, someone here should be able to answer them for you. It's very useful for me, so I would definately give it thumbs up. designhazard 05-19-2003, 09:46 AM it's a good program but i prefer Paint Shop Pro 7 Liz 05-19-2003, 04:29 PM Its a great program once you learn how to use it :) Stormx 05-19-2003, 07:31 PM GET PHOTOSHOP!!! Paint Shop is OK, but get photoshop. It is slightly more expensive an 10x as good. Really. I am not laying you around. Go here and see some of the stuff you can do in it that you cna't do in paint shop. http://www.digitalc.net/ Click on tutorials There are way more efects and tools. zangerbanger 05-19-2003, 07:58 PM If you ask me, PSP and PS are not very different. Any graphics program is better than the one I used now (no names). sebluver 05-19-2003, 08:21 PM There actually IS a difference...PS is a little trickier. PSP is about as good as PS, so I'd recommend that first. Jrfan888 05-19-2003, 11:28 PM Stormx- I already have photoshop...:) i dont like it that much, though SSprincess- I know its beginner, not begginner...*typo* :) Also, do you know if you can get it at a place like Best Buy, or is it an online only thing? (yeah, i know...dumb question...lol) Dude128 05-20-2003, 03:01 AM yup, you should be able to find it in any computer/tehnology/software/office store, although you might be able to find it online cheaper- most stuff you can buy in stores is cheaper online :) Liz 05-20-2003, 01:06 PM Originally posted by sebluver There actually IS a difference...PS is a little trickier. PSP is about as good as PS, so I'd recommend that first. People say its trickier, but after I figured out; how to use the pixels it hasnt been hard at all :P PS can make far better stuff once you know how to use the program. |
