Well I'd like to learn how to make vectors and I only have Adobe photoshop 7 & Paint shop Pro... I've seen a few tutorials on how to make them but you need Adobe CS (or whatever its called)...Does anyone know where I can get a tutorial
for making vectors in just photoshop?
I think you actually need to have Paintshop pro 8 or something..I can make em but my PSP7 can`t maby you do have to have 8 to make them..:(
Oopss sorry for double post but my photoshop can`t seem ti make them either so I think with 99% certanty you do need PSP8:(

You can make them with both.
It might have helped if you would have searched (http://www.lissaexplains.com/forum/search.php?) the forum first for Vector Tutorials (you can even search www.google.com for more) ....

For real vectors you should not even use photoshop or paintshoppro since they use pixels, and not vectors to draw shapes. Illustrator uses vectors.
Buuut version has nothing to do with this. In all versions of both programs the "pen tool" is available so you can always draw vectors with it. Most tutorials are for CS because that's the newest version, but the older versions have the same functions so you can just follow them.
If you can't make them than i'm 99% sure it isn't the program ... :)

Personally I didn't use a tutorial to vector, but I had a good background with the pen tool. This is what basically most people do to make vectors:
-Set the image to posterize
-Get a color palette or make up colors of their own
-Make layers on top of one another, dark --> light
To be technical like what Mirna said you'd have to make a vector in Illustrator to be called a vector. Vectors have the capability to be resized and then unlike pixels they realign to fit with the bigger size. You are making a rastor based image though.
