Ok what is bandwith theft and direct linking? Why does it cost pplz so much money?

direct linking is when you put an image thats hosted on someone else's server on your page, instead of uploading it to your own server. then, every time your page is viewed, their bandwidth is being used- if your site is viewed a lot, their bandwidth will be used up and it will cost them money in bandwidth charges. thats why its called bandwidth theft- your using their bandwidth without permission. that's why you should ALWAYS upload to your own server.

and theres always the chance of them moving the image and making the URL wrong, or worse, they could change the picture to something bad, people do it all the time, actually if they find out they could change it to an image with their website URL on it... but, i dont have to worry about any of that stuff, for one i dont direct link unless they say its okay, and second, i have codes that dont allow that. lucky me... :D
