Perhaps your browser doesn't support javascript. I viewed Lissa's source and it looks like she uses some sort of javascript to keep her image file size small. This javascript may be the problem for you.

Every now and then, the pictures don't show up on my PC either. But most times they do.

it's just packets getting lost, it happens all the time. i don't know why it happens it just does. if you right click and click on 'show picture' it'll show up.

once the packet gets lost it'll become part of the 'background noise' or 'net noise'. sometimes when you get a hit on your firewall it doesn't mean that someone is trying to hack in (sometimes :).) sometimes it's just a stray packet that hit the firewall and sets it off.

happens all the time, nothing to worry about. actually nothing you can do about it :)
