View Full Version : Lack of text in Photoshop CS??

Ugh, I'm about to stab my copy of Photoshop CS to death with a spork!!

I'm making a banner, it's .psd right now. I've got a background layer (pure white), a gradient layer (slightly transparent--faded on one side), my four button layers (it'll be a clickable banner), and my logo layer. Now, when I go to put in text to place over my button layers, the text doesn't show up!

Yes, the text is in seperate layers, and yes, the layers are on top. The text is a decent size (12pt) and the color is white, very noticeable against the black buttons. The text is being inputed, because after I deselect the text and select a different layer, the text layer's name changes to whatever I typed in, telling me that PS actually understood the input.

However, it's not SHOWING me the text, ANYWHERE. When I try to copy the text layer & paste it into a new picture, it tells me the area is empty (it didn't copy anything). What the HECK is going on with PS?!?!

are you really really really sure you have moved the layer to the top and then checked it again? because if it's underneath a layer on the white background then yes you can't see it ..

If you did, maybe make a screenshot of the whole screen with PS open and the layer palette open so that we can see it all :)

And, I know its a long shot, but are you sure the opacity is at 100%?!
