I can make a blend in paint shop,but i've heard making a blend in photo shop is easier and that photo shop is better,but i've tried in photo shop and I find it hard to cut around the image.Where in paint shop pro it's easier,by just using the eraser.And i've just noticed that when I paste a new layer in psp on a black plain background the photo pastes as really small,when it was originally bigger ?!?!

It doesn't really matter -- you can make blends in either program just fine. Photoshop is more powerful though.

Photoshop is more for professionals. Try using another tool like the polygonal lasso tool [my fav] or even a simple marquee tool. Then in PS go to selection > inverse to select the background behind the image you are cutting out.
I'm using a different computer at the moment so if you need help It'll have to wait until saturday ^^;;

You have to use the magnification tool to see it as its original size. When the file says it's at 100%, that means it is at the size it's supposed to be. There have been many threads asking whether PS or PSP is better already on this forum. Try doing a search ;) .
