Hey everyone-
I had a question about adding smiley faces (very similar to the ones Lissa allows you to add to your forum post). Only I'm adding them to my guestbook instead. I was wondering if anyone knew the Javascript code that would allow me to add various smiley images that can replace text characters ":) " or will show up in a text area when clicked. I know this is really complicated, but maybe someone out there knows what I'm talking about?

i'm not sure how lissa's doing it but that's usually done on the application side. you have to parse the entry and replace the ': )' with the url to the image.

Well some Guest books like the one in bravenet you can already make your own smiley by just typing it. But only in the part with a lot space to type on.
