I keep on seeing FTP pop up around here. Exactly what is FTP?

FTP stands for file transfer protocol...basically it's a way you can connect to your webspace using a program like ws_ftp or cuteftp and upload your files. It's much better than uploading it on the uploading thingys that you get on geocities but a lot of free hosts don't support it.

Um....what's ws_ftp and cuteftp?
