Hi! Awsome site!
My problem is that I'm running a website (with geocities) and I'm also putting a message board with Proboards. The thing is that I want to use the same pic as a logo in the board than the one I have in the site layout. I posted it in the forum and it works perfectly, but as soon as you reload the page, it's gone.
Do you know what I'm doing wrong?
I'm using the code you mention:
<center><img src="your filename.gif (or .jpg)" width="yourwidth" height="yourheight" alt="my image name"></center>
And as I said, it works for few seconds. Can any of you help me? I hope so :)
Thanks!

Sometime the host site for the Gif or jpg don't allow direct downloading for a long period of time.
If you have a web site download the image to your site and then you can post it anywhere with your UrL address........If I understood your question.
Good luck.

I already had dowloaded the pic to my site, so I don't know what the problem could be.
Thanks anyway, any other advice will be welcome ;)

Errrr....
If I'm not mistaken, geocities (and most free sites) have a way from letting you "not" use there webspace as storage. So, it keeps images from appearing in forums mostly.
Does that make since?
The only reason it loaded the first time was because it was in yer temp internet files. If you want the pic to show up in the forums, you need to host that pic on another server...
I've used geocities for years, I have the same problems. I have earthlink, so I uploaded the pic there, then used that URL to post the pic in the forums, for my geocities website.
I recently (this past week) bought my own webspace from "dreamhost". I'm just now implementing YaBB forums which are indentical to the probroads, but way more flexiable with more features.
Now I don't have to post pic's on a different server anymore...

Thanks so much, Redkaven. I was afraid that was the reason. Do you happen to know any free site where I won't have this problem? I suposse it's difficult to find one.
Thanks again ;)

Your best bet is just to use your yahoo briefcase to upload images that you want to post in the forum. Make sure to turn on public viewing!
