Hi!

I doubt anyone remembers, but a while back I asked for help for a contract or something for a web design service I was planning on doing. Well, due to the time school takes from my life, I won't be able to design complete websites for people until after graduation, but I wanted to get started on my idea now because I need money for graduation costs. I was wondering, besides designing full websites, what are some other ideas for web design related services? I already have the following on my list of ideas, but any other suggestions or thoughts would be really helpful. Thank you for your time :D

-premade layouts
-coding (I'm not too sure about this one)

Seconded, Queen of Wise. Some really awesome web designers even charge for small graphics such as buttons and stuff like that. You could even expand your services to include layouts for LiveJournal (people do pay for LJ services).

now this idea sounds rather mean, because its taking advantage of clueless n0obs, but you could sell small graphics as tokyo_bleu said, and also to go with your premade layouts, I would mainly concentrate on layouts for all of those popular blogging sites ;)

how much are you planning on charging for these layouts? If it is reasonable i would be willing to help you out and purchase one. As capable as i am at making a layout, its going to a good cause. Anyway if you can post stuff like that down and i think its ok and i can find the money for it, i will talk to you about what my site will do and stuff. And like how it will be made.

erm...thats nice. It didn't really help sisqoluv though....

If you have ever tried skinning forums, then that could also be an option, but you kinda need to know what you are doing.

If you don't have time to make full layouts, the best thing seems to be to create images. Perhaps brushes? You could also create custom banners or buttons?

There is a limited amount of things you can do if you don't have much time to create an entire layout. Do you have any flash skills? If so, you could create some things in that? These are just a couple of extra suggestions.

Thanks,
Chris

I don't view my graphics as good enough to sale, so I'm a bit iffy about them; even though it's a highly reasonable idea. I like making graphics, and I do it for fun, so I have to consider the idea. =D

I can't do a web hosting company because I would have to pay for it myself and *hope* in the end I make more money than I spend. Plus, I don't have enough time to run it.

I've skinned forums, blogs, and other scripts that require the same idea; so that seems like a good idea.

I haven't touched flash in a few years now. I still have the program and files on my computer, lol. I should brush up on my knowledge of it. I was offered money to do flash for someone a few years ago, so I think this would be a good option.

Thank you for all your time and suggestions everyone :D
