perhaps you are visiting a framed site on geocities and they are not fully linking out of their site to an external one? thus it thinks you are still on geocities?

maybe if it happens each time you go from siteA to siteB to siteC, please post the specific sites and we can see if it happens to other people too.

also, if you can post what browser you are using.

I believe Geocities now has frame ads. At least that is what I have been hearing. I making the geocities website your un-homepage.
