dos anyone know a site for gimp brushes?

Have you tried searching www.google.com for gimp+brushes?

Best I've found is just DeviantArt (http://browse.deviantart.com/resources/applications/gimpbrushes/).

Just unzip them if they're zipped and then drop them in something like C:\Documents and Settings\You\.gimp-2.2\brushes or C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.2\share\gimp\2.0\brushes.

it dosnt work

It should - that's how you do it. What version do you have? What operating system do you have? Where exactly are you putting them (full file path)? Are you trying to add them with The GIMP open, and if you are, did you refresh the brush list? Are they anything other than .gbr or .gih files (not in seperate folders or anything like that)?

ive got version 2 of the gimp, yes i did refresh the brushes, do you extract the brushes onto that file ?
